If you are involved in an accident:
- Move your vehicle to a safe place near the location of the accident.
- Check everyone involved for injuries and dial 911 if necessary.
- If your vehicle needs to be towed, call us at 1-800-424-3426 and we will schedule a tow for you.
- Contact the police. Record the officer’s name and phone number as well as the police report number.
- Obtain the names, addresses and phone numbers of everyone involved, including witnesses.
- Get the year, make, model, license plate number and insurance information of all vehicles involved. Note the number of occupants in each vehicle.
- Do not admit fault.
- If you have a camera, photograph the vehicles and people involved as well as the accident scene.
- As soon as possible, report the accident to GEICO online at geico.com or by calling 1-800-861-8380.
